Speech and Language Therapist

Responsibilities

• Assess, diagnose, and manage adults presenting with speech, language, communication, and swallowing difficulties within an acute setting
• Provide specialist dysphagia assessment and management in line with professional and clinical guidelines
• Develop and implement evidence-based treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs
• Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to support effective patient care and discharge planning
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date clinical documentation and reports
• Provide education and support to patients, families, carers, and healthcare professionals

Requirements

• Recognised degree in Speech and Language Therapy
• HCPC registration
• Membership with the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists (RCSLT)
• Previous experience working within an adult acute setting
• Proven experience in dysphagia management
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
