Spectrum Engineering Intern

Responsibilities

• Support the Regulatory team in developing spectrum resources for future satellite missions
• Learn and apply spectrum management principles and FCC licensing processes
• Gain exposure to the International Telecommunication Union's (ITU) role in global communications
• Perform RF interference analyses to determine how Astranis satellites can coexist with other systems
• Assist in the application processes required to launch satellite systems

Requirements

• Currently completing your 2nd year of a bachelor's degree in engineering (Electrical, Space, or Aeronautical preferred)
• Strong interest in the intersection of legal regulations and engineering technicalities
• Self-starter with a strong drive to move projects forward independently
• U.S. Citizenship, Lawful Permanent Residency, or Refugee/Asylee Status (required for export control compliance)

Preferred Qualifications

• Completion of additional years in an engineering curriculum
• Previous coursework or academic focus in satellite communications
