Specimen Management Associate

Responsibilities

• Process incoming specimens, capture relevant data, and document deviations according to SOPs
• Maintain and document chain of custody to ensure full accountability and traceability
• Receive and unpack shipments from couriers while maintaining appropriate specimen temperatures
• Enter and control subject demographics and visit details into the LIMS system
• Prepare, control, and complete specimen shipments, including all necessary paperwork and manifests
• Manage specimen storage, destruction, and shipping in compliance with company policy and local regulations
• Resolve processing deviations or escalate issues to management as needed

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a production environment (healthcare, life sciences, or pharmaceutical settings preferred)
• Ability to lift up to 25lbs repeatedly and perform bending tasks
• Ability to work rotating Saturday shifts (11:00 am - 7:30 pm)
• Ability to stand for extended periods and work in environments with potential exposure to low temperatures
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow strict SOPs and deadlines

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with enterprise-grade applications, specifically LIMS
• Professional or Technical degree (minimum 2-year apprenticeship or equivalent)
