About the role
Responsibilities
- Act as the primary customer contact to promote Amgen's cardiovascular products to medical professionals
- Provide comprehensive clinical knowledge of products to drive appropriate utilization
- Achieve territory sales targets through in-person and virtual engagement and branded sales messages
- Develop and manage relationships with accounts, ensuring product access and resolving reimbursement issues
- Analyze territory performance and develop strategic plans in partnership with the District Manager
- Provide feedback on marketing strategies and share best practices with colleagues
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree OR Associate's degree with 4 years of sales experience OR High school diploma/GED with 6 years of sales experience
- For Senior Specialty roles: Bachelor's degree with 3 years of sales/clinical experience, or equivalent combinations of education and experience
- Proven ability to manage complex customer interactions and relationship management
- Strong communication skills to deliver clinical benefits to healthcare professionals
Preferred Qualifications
- Three or more years of sales experience within the pharmaceutical, biotech, or medical device industry
- Experience in specialty areas such as cardiology, oncology, or inflammation
- Local market knowledge and established relationships within the Long Island territory
- Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences or Business Administration
