About the role
Responsibilities
- Act as the primary customer contact to promote Amgen products and implement marketing strategies within the cardiovascular therapeutic area
- Provide comprehensive clinical knowledge of products to medical professionals to drive appropriate utilization
- Achieve territory sales targets through branded sales messages, medical educational programs, and both in-person and virtual engagement
- Develop and manage relationships with accounts, customizing interactions based on customer needs and resolving reimbursement issues
- Analyze territory performance and business effectiveness to develop strategic territory plans in partnership with the District Manager
- Partner with colleagues to share best practices and maintain a focus on patient impact throughout the sales cycle
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree OR Associate's degree with 4 years of sales experience OR High school diploma/GED with 6 years of sales experience
- For Senior level: Bachelor's degree with 3 years of sales or clinical experience (or equivalent combinations of experience)
- Proven ability to communicate clinical benefits effectively to healthcare professionals
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage a specific territory (Overland Park, Shawnee Mission, Olathe, Lawrence, KS)
Preferred Qualifications
- Three or more years of sales experience within the pharmaceutical, biotech, or medical device industry
- Experience in specialty areas such as cardiology, oncology, or inflammation
- Established professional relationships within the assigned territory
- Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences or Business Administration
- Strong competency in planning, organizing, and driving results
