About the role
Responsibilities
- Act as the primary customer contact to promote Amgen products and implement marketing strategies within the Richmond South territory.
- Provide comprehensive clinical knowledge of products to medical professionals to drive appropriate utilization.
- Achieve territory sales targets through branded sales messages, medical educational programs, and both in-person and virtual engagement.
- Develop and manage relationships with accounts, customizing interactions based on customer needs and resolving reimbursement issues.
- Analyze business effectiveness and territory performance to develop strategic plans in partnership with the District Manager.
- Partner with colleagues to share best practices and maintain a focus on patient impact throughout the sales cycle.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree OR Associate's degree with 4 years of Sales experience OR High school diploma/GED with 6 years of Sales experience.
- For Senior Specialty Representative roles: Bachelor's degree with 3 years of sales/clinical experience, OR Associate degree with 6 years, OR High school diploma/GED with 8 years of experience.
- Proven territory management skills and ability to drive results.
- Strong communication skills to deliver clinical benefits to medical professionals.
Preferred Qualifications
- Three or more years of sales experience within the pharmaceutical, biotech, or medical device industry.
- Experience in specialty areas such as oncology, cardiology, neurology, or inflammation.
- Local market knowledge and established relationships within the Richmond South territory.
- Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences or Business Administration.
