About the role
Responsibilities
- Act as the primary customer contact to promote Amgen products and provide clinical knowledge to medical professionals within the bone health therapeutic area
- Implement marketing strategies and deliver branded sales messages to drive appropriate product utilization
- Achieve or exceed territory sales targets through both in-person and virtual engagement
- Develop and manage relationships with medical accounts, customizing interactions based on customer needs
- Ensure product access and assist in resolving or triaging reimbursement issues
- Analyze business effectiveness and territory performance to develop strategic plans with the District Manager
- Provide feedback on marketing strategies and share best practices with internal colleagues
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree OR Associate's degree with 4 years of Sales experience OR High school diploma/GED with 6 years of Sales experience (for Specialty Representative level)
- Bachelor's Degree and 3 years of sales experience OR Associate degree with 6 years of sales experience OR High school diploma/GED with 8 years of sales experience (for Senior Specialty Representative level)
- Proven ability to build professional relationships and influence outcomes
- Ability to manage a territory covering Zanesville, Belpre, Marietta, New Clairsville, Steubenville, Weirton, Martins Ferry, and Wheeling, WV
Preferred Qualifications
- Sales, marketing, or clinical experience within pharmaceutical, biotech, or healthcare industries
- Specific product or hospital sales experience in bone health, oncology, cardiology, or related specialties
- Local market knowledge of the assigned territory
- Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences or Business Administration
- Strong skills in sales planning, organizing, and communicating with impact
