About the role
Responsibilities
- Act as the primary customer contact to promote Amgen's bone health products to medical professionals
- Provide comprehensive clinical knowledge of products to drive appropriate utilization
- Achieve territory sales targets through in-person and virtual engagement
- Develop and manage relationships with medical accounts, including customizing interactions based on customer needs
- Ensure product access and assist in resolving or triaging reimbursement issues
- Analyze business effectiveness and territory data to develop strategic plans with the District Manager
- Provide feedback on marketing strategies to optimize sales activities
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent experience as specified below)
- Sales experience in the pharmaceutical, biotech, or related healthcare industries
- Strong relationship-building and influencing skills
- Ability to manage a territory covering Princeton, Ocean, Long Branch, and Neptune, NJ
Experience Equivalency:
- Specialty Representative: Bachelor's Degree OR Associate's degree + 4 years sales experience OR High school diploma/GED + 6 years sales experience
- Senior Specialty Representative: Bachelor's Degree + 3 years sales experience OR Associate degree + 6 years sales experience OR High school diploma/GED + 8 years sales experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Clinical experience in bone health, oncology, cardiology, inflammation, or other related specialties
- Proven track record of successful leadership and sales outcomes
- Local market knowledge of the assigned New Jersey territory
- Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences or Business Administration
- Experience with hospital sales or navigating complex payer environments
