About the role

Responsibilities

  • Deliver sales performance, brand KPIs, and financial targets to meet or exceed objectives.
  • Execute brand strategy and tactics in the field to manage assigned territories and targeted accounts.
  • Create pre-call plan objectives and execute post-call evaluations to continuously improve sales performance.
  • Build strong, trusted customer relationships by proactively serving customer needs and challenges.
  • Develop and execute call plans that optimize coverage and frequency to key customers.
  • Differentiate AbbVie’s value proposition with healthcare providers and identify disease state experts and advocates.
  • Share market intelligence regarding competitors, market dynamics, and clinical expertise with the in-field and brand teams.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in health, sciences, pharmacy, or business-related field preferred (or equivalent industry experience).
  • At least five years of industry experience, or a high school diploma/GED with five years of relevant experience.
  • Three or more years of experience within the pharmaceutical, health, or science industry preferred.
  • Proven track record of success in sales and strong presentation skills.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to meet safe driving requirements.
  • Ability to meet all applicable healthcare industry representative (HCIR) credentialing requirements.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Proven track record of success in sales performance within specific therapeutic areas.
  • Experience in commercial pharmaceutical industry roles such as physician/account-based selling, training, or marketing.
