About the role

Responsibilities

  • Execute brand strategy and sales tactics in the field to meet or exceed financial targets and marketing objectives.
  • Manage assigned territory and targeted accounts to build strong, trusted customer relationships.
  • Develop and execute call plans using SMART objectives to optimize coverage and frequency to key customers.
  • Identify and maintain disease state experts and advocates to maximize brand performance.
  • Monitor market intelligence, including competitor activity and territory dynamics, to optimize brand strategy execution.
  • Differentiate AbbVie’s value proposition with healthcare providers and solve customer needs effectively.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in health, sciences, pharmacy, or business-related field preferred (or equivalent industry experience).
  • At least five years of relevant industry experience, or a high school diploma/GED with five years of experience if industry-specific.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to meet safe driving requirements.
  • Ability to travel within the assigned territory and attend scheduled training events or sales meetings.
  • Proficiency in English, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to satisfy all applicable healthcare industry representative (HCIR) credentialing requirements.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Proven track record of success in sales performance within specific therapeutic areas.
  • Experience in commercial pharmaceutical industry roles, such as physician/account-based selling, training, or marketing.
