About the role
Responsibilities
- Provide custom medication management services to hospital patients
- Work alongside hospital clinicians to serve patients face-to-face and via phone
- Educate prospective pharmacy patients on available care services
- Support outpatient retail and specialty prescription medication needs
- Ensure medication adherence through outbound therapy check-ups and refill securing
- Resolve insurance issues including prior authorizations and financial assistance
- Identify medications requiring special storage such as hazardous or refrigerated items
- Manage and update relevant data using database applications
- Participate in process improvement initiatives and operational troubleshooting
Requirements
- State registered pharmacy technician license
- National CPhT certification or equivalent
- High School Diploma or GED
- 2 years of pharmacy technician experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Strong data entry and computer skills
Preferred Qualifications
- 3-5 years of experience as a Pharmacy Technician
- Knowledge of rheumatology, oncology, or neurology
