About the role

Responsibilities

  • Provide custom medication management services to hospital patients
  • Work alongside hospital clinicians to serve patients face-to-face and via phone
  • Educate prospective pharmacy patients on available care services
  • Support outpatient retail and specialty prescription medication needs
  • Ensure medication adherence through outbound therapy check-ups and refill securing
  • Resolve insurance issues including prior authorizations and financial assistance
  • Identify medications requiring special storage such as hazardous or refrigerated items
  • Manage and update relevant data using database applications
  • Participate in process improvement initiatives and operational troubleshooting

Requirements

  • State registered pharmacy technician license
  • National CPhT certification or equivalent
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 2 years of pharmacy technician experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Strong data entry and computer skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of experience as a Pharmacy Technician
  • Knowledge of rheumatology, oncology, or neurology
