Specialty Pharmacist

Responsibilities

• Prepare and dispense medications by reviewing physician orders and detecting therapeutic incompatibilities
• Perform medication therapy management and monitor medication regimens
• Manage pharmacy operational requirements including technician workflow and prescription verification
• Ensure compliance with state and federal drug laws, 340B program requirements, and specialty pharmacy accreditation
• Coordinate care and resolve insurance-related issues or financial assistance applications
• Participate in process improvement initiatives and staff training

Requirements

• Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or BS in Pharmacy
• Licensed Pharmacist in the applicable state
• 1+ years of experience in retail or specialty dispensing (5+ years preferred)
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Strong knowledge of pharmacology and FDA health regulations
