About the role
Responsibilities
- Support the build, commissioning, and operation of specialty gas systems for a high-volume semiconductor manufacturing facility
- Coordinate the scope of gas delivery systems for hazardous and non-hazardous gases, including toxic, pyrophoric, and cryogenic setups
- Partner with design firms, construction teams, and vendors to ensure systems meet project specifications and safety standards
- Review and validate engineering work including P&IDs, gas panel schematics, equipment specifications, and 3D models
- Supervise commissioning, testing, startup, and validation activities for specialty gas equipment
- Implement safety protocols for hazardous gases in alignment with OSHA, NFPA, and SEMI requirements
- Monitor system health using diagnostic tools and performance data to improve reliability
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field
- 3+ years of experience in specialty gas engineering, gas delivery systems, or facilities engineering
- Experience reviewing engineering documentation such as P&IDs, 3D models, and equipment layouts
- Knowledge of gas delivery system design, including pressure regulation and gas cabinets
- Familiarity with industry standards including SEMI, NFPA, CGA, and OSHA
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in semiconductor, pharmaceutical, or high-purity manufacturing environments
- Proficiency with BIM and design coordination tools such as AutoCAD, Revit, or Navisworks
- Experience with control systems including PLC or SCADA
- Professional certifications related to hazardous gas safety or professional engineering
