About the role

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the on-site technical liaison between Energy System Product Engineering and Manufacturing
  • Act as the central point of coordination for Energy System activities at the Columbia/Blythewood facility
  • Determine root cause and develop resolution plans for Energy System and Production Center issues
  • Manage implementation of short-term containment and long-term corrective actions
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including mechanical, electrical, and software engineers
  • Capture lessons learned and provide feedback for continuous improvement of the vehicle Energy System
  • Support new product launches, pre-production builds, and validation activities
  • Provide technical guidance to technicians and test engineers

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, thermal engineering, automotive engineering, electrical engineering, or a related field
  • 4+ years of experience, preferably in the automotive industry
  • Knowledge of high voltage battery systems, power electronics, and thermal systems
  • Familiarity with vehicle control systems, diagnostics, and communication protocols (CAN, LIN)
  • Proficiency with vehicle data collection tools
  • Ability to read, interpret, and generate engineering drawings and specifications
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in a relevant engineering field
  • Experience with thermal analysis software (e.g., ANSYS, Fluent, COMSOL)
  • Experience with CAD tools (e.g., SolidWorks, CATIA)
  • Familiarity with battery electric vehicle high voltage and low voltage mechanizations
