Specialist TOE Body Systems

Responsibilities

• Assist in the development of the Body System for Scout electric pick-up trucks and rugged SUVs
• Use CAD tools, CAD processes, and PDM systems to create CAD data for new concepts
• Ensure designs conform to safety standards and U.S. government regulations
• Act as the central point of contact in the Columbia/Blythewood Production Center for the Body Systems team
• Design and create Body System integration and testing strategies
• Partner with concept and systems architect teams to solve engineering and functional challenges
• Coordinate with suppliers for engineering activities to ensure requirements are met
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure components meet validation and testing requirements
• Support the build process with the pre-series team
• Participate in design reviews and brainstorming sessions
• Perform hands-on prototyping and building

Requirements

• 7+ years of total experience, with 5+ years in body mechanical areas and automotive assignments
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in electrical, mechanical, or systems engineering, or a relevant field
• Proficiency in CATIA V5 and PDM systems, including 3D parametric modeling and 2D drawings
• Strong technical problem-solving skills
• Ability to lead simultaneous engineering teams
• Familiarity with computer-aided engineering (CAE)
• Advanced project steering and coordination skills
• Proven ability to work in a cross-functional and global environment
