Specialist TOE Body Systems

Responsibilities

• Assist in the development of the Body System for Scout electric pick-up trucks and rugged SUVs
• Create CAD-Data to support new concepts and solutions in a dynamic environment
• Ensure designs conform to safety standards and U.S. government regulations
• Act as the central point of contact in the Columbia/Blythewood Production Center for the Body Systems team
• Design and create Body System integration and testing strategies
• Partner with concept and systems architect teams to solve engineering and functional challenges
• Coordinate engineering activities with suppliers to ensure requirements are met
• Support the build process with the pre-series team and manage component delivery
• Participate in design reviews and brainstorming sessions
• Perform hands-on prototyping and building, including software implementation

Requirements

• 8+ years of total experience, with 5+ years in body mechanical areas and automotive assignments
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in mechanical, electrical, or systems engineering, or engineering management
• Proficiency in CATIA V5 and PDM systems
• Ability to create 3D parametric models and 2D drawings
• Experience with computer-aided engineering (CAE)
• Advanced project steering and coordination skills
• Strong technical problem-solving and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work in a cross-functional and global environment
