Specialist Support Worker

Responsibilities

• Provide person-centred support to a young man with learning disabilities and autism
• Help the individual live safely, confidently, and meaningfully within the community
• Create positive daily experiences and build trusting relationships
• Support the individual to achieve independence and improved quality of life
• Maintain a safe and predictable environment through consistent and patient support

Requirements

• Experience supporting people with Learning Disabilities and Autism
• Understanding of Positive Behaviour Support (PBS)
• Strong teamwork and communication skills
• High level of emotional intelligence and self-awareness
• Physical fitness for an active, hands-on role
• Resilience and ability to remain calm in demanding situations

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous PMVA certification (though training will be provided)
