About the role
Responsibilities
- Provide person-centred support to a young man with learning disabilities and autism
- Help the individual live safely, confidently, and meaningfully within the community
- Create positive daily experiences and build trusting relationships
- Support the individual to achieve independence and improved quality of life
- Maintain a safe and predictable environment through consistent and patient support
Requirements
- Experience supporting people with Learning Disabilities and Autism
- Understanding of Positive Behaviour Support (PBS)
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- High level of emotional intelligence and self-awareness
- Physical fitness for an active, hands-on role
- Resilience and ability to remain calm in demanding situations
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous PMVA certification (though training will be provided)
