Specialist, Supply Chain Management - Materials

Responsibilities

• Lead the supply chain and material management functional organization to develop strategies, plans, and processes.
• Assemble and lead integrated cross-functional teams to achieve subcontract cost, schedule, and technical objectives.
• Support the development and production proposals, including planning for affordability and supplier performance.
• Oversee contract negotiations with critical suppliers, including single or sole source providers.
• Serve as the primary customer contact for the supply chain portion of program activities.
• Represent procurement on Integrated Program Teams (IPTs) to resolve material status issues and risks.
• Prepare and lead presentations for peers, customers, suppliers, and management.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree and 4 years of related experience; OR
• Graduate degree and 2 years of related experience; OR
• 8 years of related experience in lieu of a degree.

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of supply chain management, lean manufacturing, assembly, and ATP processes.
• Solid working knowledge of project management methods within the defense acquisition environment.
• Experience with program planning, integrated master scheduling, budgeting, and earned value management (EVM).
• Ability to implement product design and development stage-gate processes.
• Experience leading, coaching, and reviewing the work of supporting team members.
• Ability to coordinate multiple activities simultaneously and make real-time adjustments.
