About the role
Responsibilities
- Assess, diagnose, and manage speech, language, and communication disorders in adults with neurological conditions
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
- Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive patient care
- Provide education and support to patients, families, and caregivers
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
- Participate in team meetings, case conferences, and professional development activities
Requirements
- Degree in Speech and Language Therapy
- Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC)
- Minimum of 2 years post-qualification experience
- Significant experience in adult neuro rehabilitation
- Strong understanding of neurological conditions and their impact on communication and swallowing
