Specialist, Software Engineering - Real-time Embedded & Client/Server

Responsibilities

• Develop and integrate software for test instrumentation, data acquisition, recording, maintenance/status logging, client/server, and database application systems
• Generate and create software requirements and software design documents
• Perform trade studies, root cause analysis, and other software technical investigations
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to interpret operational processes and best practices
• Identify opportunities for system and process improvements

Requirements

• Active US Secret security clearance
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
• Minimum of 4 years of software development experience (or 8 years of related experience in lieu of a degree)
• 3+ years of experience with Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
• 3+ years of experience with system/software requirements management
• 3+ years of experience with DOORS and Rational Publishing Engine (RPE)
• 3+ years of experience in embedded or real-time software development and GUI design
• 5+ years of experience in one or more of the following: C, C++, C#, Java, or Python

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with static code analysis and reverse engineering tools
• Knowledge of DISA Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG) requirements
• Proficiency in Agile methodology and DevOps processes
• Experience with UML and MBSE modeling
• Experience with server virtualization and containerization technologies
• Familiarity with Qt Enterprise, Linux (RHEL), Windows Desktop/Server, and Real Time Operating Systems
• Experience with Oracle RDBMS, SQL Server, or SQL Lite
