Specialist, Software Engineering

Responsibilities

• Develop software for advanced tactical radio applications using computer science, engineering, and mathematical principles
• Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to design and evaluate hardware/software interfaces and system requirements
• Support all phases of the software development life cycle for embedded, real-time control software
• Participate in software sustainment activities, including addressing security findings and implementing system improvements
• Develop test procedures, documentation, and automated testing to ensure system reliability and performance
• Maintain technical artifacts in accordance with project and customer standards

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree and 4+ years of related experience, OR a Graduate Degree and 2+ years of related experience, OR 8+ years of experience in lieu of a degree
• Proficiency in multiple programming languages (e.g., Python, Java, C, or C++)
• Experience working with Windows, Linux, and embedded real-time operating systems (RTOS)
• Ability to obtain a Secret or TS-SCI security clearance

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with CI/CD pipeline development and Docker deployments
• Experience with FPGA systems and software that interfaces directly with hardware
• Proficiency in TypeScript and Unix/Linux shell scripting
• Experience with unit and integration testing, as well as test automation
• Strong debugging logic and experience supporting code reviews
