Specialist, Software Engineer

Responsibilities

• Lead the development and execution of software on embedded targeted hardware for advanced Unmanned Air Systems (UAS/UAV) and radar technologies.
• Design software based on requirements documents and system-level design documents.
• Apply computer science, engineering, and mathematical analysis to develop software for embedded Real Time Operating Systems (RTOS).
• Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to evaluate interfaces between hardware, firmware, and software.
• Investigate root causes of complex issues and implement solutions independently or within multi-discipline teams.
• Support all phases of the software development life cycle, including requirements analysis, design, implementation, and formal testing.
• Develop software test plans, procedures, and technical documentation.
• Participate in peer reviews to identify, track, and repair defects.

Requirements

• Active Security Clearance is required.
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in the computer/software engineering field.
• Minimum of 5 years of professional C++ development experience.
• Must be eligible for additional security clearances.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience developing and testing real-time embedded software.
• Familiarity with Greenhills RTOS.
• Experience developing device drivers and Board Support Packages (BSP) for real-time embedded systems.
• Proficiency with Modern C++ techniques.
• Experience working within Agile Scrum or Kanban development processes.
