Specialist Software Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design, prototype, and deploy cloud-based full-stack applications using modern software engineering practices and Generative AI technologies.
• Build responsive and high-performing user interfaces using React and TypeScript.
• Develop reusable UI components, APIs, modules, and integrations to improve scalability and user experience.
• Partner with UX designers, product managers, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into production-ready solutions.
• Lead technical design discussions, architecture reviews, and define engineering standards.
• Build and integrate back-end services, APIs, and system interfaces to enable seamless data flow.
• Ensure software quality through clean code, automated testing, CI/CD, and performance optimization.
• Mentor junior engineers and promote engineering excellence across the software development lifecycle.
• Work within Agile/SAFe environments to manage sprints, backlogs, and incremental delivery.

Requirements

• 8 to 13 years of experience in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
• Strong expertise in the AWS ecosystem and cloud computing principles.
• Proficiency in React, TypeScript, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Extensive experience with Python, PySpark, FastAPI, REST APIs, and Databricks.
• In-depth knowledge of data engineering concepts, ETL processes, and data architecture.
• Experience with API integration, serverless, microservices, and event-driven architecture.
• Proficiency with DevOps tools, CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, Maven), and version control (Git).
• Experience working in Agile or Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) environments.

Preferred Qualifications

• AWS Certified Cloud, Data Engineer, Developer, or Solutions Architect.
• Databricks Certification.
• Scaled Agile (SAFe) certification.
• Experience with AI-assisted code development tools like GitHub Copilot or Claude Code.
• Experience in the biotechnology or pharmaceutical industry.
• Experience with monitoring and logging tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, or Splunk.
