Specialist Software Engineer - AI Systems

Responsibilities

• Design, configure, and build agentic AI systems capable of reasoning, planning, and executing workflows.
• Develop scalable, cloud-native software applications and services using modern architectures.
• Integrate large language models (LLMs), APIs, vector stores, and orchestration frameworks into production environments.
• Implement retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) patterns, including document ingestion, embedding generation, and vector search.
• Build and maintain AI-enabled workflows using frameworks such as LangChain, LangGraph, or LlamaIndex.
• Partner with data science and ML teams to operationalize machine learning models using MLOps practices.
• Define and implement robust cloud architectures, preferably on AWS, using serverless or containerized approaches.
• Evaluate and optimize agent performance, including prompt quality, latency, cost, and reliability.

Requirements

• 7 to 12 years of professional software development experience.
• Strong hands-on experience with Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, and SQL/NoSQL databases.
• Proven experience building or integrating applications with generative AI, LLMs, and RAG patterns.
• Proficiency with CI/CD, testing, containerization, and production-grade software delivery.
• Working knowledge of the ML lifecycle, including model deployment, monitoring, and evaluation.
• Bachelor’s or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with agent frameworks such as LangChain, LangGraph, LlamaIndex, or AutoGen.
• Familiarity with MLOps tools like MLflow, SageMaker, Databricks, or Kubeflow.
• Experience with vector databases, semantic search, and prompt engineering.
• Knowledge of serverless, microservices, or event-driven architectures.
• Cloud Computing certification.
