Specialist SAP Architect, Indirect Tax Solutions

Responsibilities

• Architect, design, and implement indirect tax solutions including Vertex and SAP Document and Reporting Compliance
• Guide the transition from SAP ECC to the S/4HANA Intelligent Enterprise ecosystem
• Design and configure native tax processes to integrate Vertex with S/4HANA Core, Ariba, and SAP Master Data Governance
• Collaborate with business partners to translate tax requirements into technical specifications
• Conduct architectural reviews and assessments to identify risks and recommend mitigations
• Participate in sprint planning and retrospectives within a Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) environment
• Develop innovative solutions utilizing AI/ML to drive speed to value and enhance control practices

Requirements

• 9-12 years of relevant SAP experience
• Mandatory certification in SAP Document and Reporting Compliance
• Hands-on experience configuring Vertex and integrating it with SAP solutions
• Strong SAP FICO experience and knowledge of global tax regulations (VAT/GST, sales tax, eTax/SAF-T)
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field
• Experience implementing modules such as e-invoicing, withholding tax, and real-time reporting

Preferred Qualifications

• Certification in Thomson Reuters
• Relevant SAP S/4HANA FICO certification
• Proficiency in SAP Advanced Intercompany, SAP Material Ledger, and optimized transfer pricing
• Experience with Corporate Tax suites, automation, and reporting
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban
