Specialist Risk Data Scientist

Responsibilities

• Develop, validate, and automate credit risk models in accordance with corporate policies and local/international regulatory standards.
• Propose and standardize new modeling techniques to optimize existing tools and improve portfolio performance.
• Coordinate the maintenance of the model risk management framework to meet requirements from both local regulators and the corporate headquarters.
• Ensure data availability for continuous monitoring of model performance and implement scientific methods for information classification and segmentation.
• Address information requests from internal and external audits, the corporate headquarters, and the Superintendency of Banking and Insurance.
• Support the migration of analytical processes and models from on-premise environments to cloud platforms.

Requirements

• Degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Engineering, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
• 3 to 4 years of experience in the development or validation of credit risk models within the financial sector or consumer goods industry.
• Advanced knowledge of statistical modeling, implementation, and credit risk management practices.
• Proven experience with Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning models.
• Proficiency in SQL, R, and Python.
• Experience or familiarity with cloud environments such as Google Cloud Platform (GCP) or Databricks.
• Intermediate to advanced English proficiency.
