Specialist Research Nurse

Responsibilities

• Support the day-to-day running of high-quality Commercial and NIHR portfolio studies
• Deliver the research portfolio from recruitment through to follow-up, closeout, and archive
• Collaborate with Research nursing teams, Principal Investigators, and support staff
• Ensure compliance with Trust Policy, Good Clinical Practice (GCP), Human Tissue Act (HTA), and trial-specific protocols
• Support recruiting patients in line with NIHR targets
• Provide leadership and potential line management for junior staff

Requirements

• Current RN Adult / RGN registration with NMC
• Degree in a relevant field
• Clinical post-registration experience
• Evidence of recent CPD
• Sound Oncology/Haematology and/or chemotherapy experience
• Strong leadership, motivation, and team-building skills
• Excellent communication and organizational skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Management or Leadership Course training
• Post-graduate level qualification in research or healthcare
• Good Clinical Practice (GCP) training for research
• Experience in project management or clinical trial coordination
• Experience in systems development and change management
• Phlebotomy skills
