About the role
Responsibilities
- Interact with various groups in a fast-paced, evolving manufacturing environment
- Review change notices for program documents and CDRL submissions
- Address Nonconformance reports, including dispositions, RCCA, and Escapes
- Manage the Program Specific Material Review Board (MRB) process as the Lead
- Collaborate across disciplines to identify root causes for systemic failures and implement corrective actions
- Lead in-depth investigations of quality issues, including process problems and audit observations
- Facilitate non-conforming investigations with vendors and procurement for raw material issues
- Maintain and support the development and monitoring of the Quality Management System (QMS)
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a technical field with at least 4 years of experience in Production Quality Assurance, OR a High School diploma/equivalent with at least 8 years of experience in Production Quality Assurance
- Strong knowledge of Geometric Dimension and Tolerancing (GD&T)
- Proficiency using various measuring tools (e.g., calipers, multimeters, thread gauges, profilometers)
- Working knowledge of MRB processes within a manufacturing environment
- Knowledge of Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) processes and methodology
- Demonstrated experience working in an ISO9001 or AS9100 environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in an Engineering discipline
- Experience in the Space and Defense industry
- Experience with high-volume manufacturing of complex electrical assemblies
- ASQ certification (CQT, CQI, CQE, CMQ/OE)
- Experience with IPC-J-STD-001 and IPC/WHMA-A-620 standards
- Experience working with QMS functions within SAP
- Experience performing contract reviews to determine program quality requirements
