About the role

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and implement standards, methods, and procedures for inspecting and testing precision products in compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Perform analysis on reported nonconformities related to assembly, mechanical, electrical, and electro-mechanical systems.
  • Lead Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (PFMEA) activities to quantify and reduce risk.
  • Participate in the Material Review Board (MRB) to manage the segregation, control, and disposition of nonconforming hardware.
  • Conduct process audits to ensure compliance with manufacturing planning and program requirements.
  • Execute First Article Inspections per AS9102 requirements and support hardware acceptance (HAR) activities.
  • Drive corrective and preventive action (CAPA) plans by investigating root causes of technical problems.
  • Interface with manufacturing, engineering, customers, and vendors to ensure all quality requirements are met.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 4 years of relevant engineering experience, OR
  • Graduate Degree and minimum 2 years of relevant engineering experience, OR
  • 8 years of relevant engineering experience in lieu of a degree.
  • Ability to obtain a US Secret Security Clearance.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Knowledge of Power BI for data analysis and reporting.
  • Experience with solid rocket component fabrication, electro-mechanical parts assembly, or Avionics.
  • Experience with Hardware Acceptance Review (HAR) processes.
  • ASQ certification.
  • Experience implementing LEAN inspection/verification methods or Key Characteristics (AS9103).
  • Background in chemical or propellant environments.
