Specialist Quality Engineer

Responsibilities

• Identify, establish, and monitor quality requirements for parts and assemblies procured from vendors and suppliers.
• Monitor program performance and facilitate corrective and preventative actions to drive continuous improvement.
• Coordinate corrective and preventative actions with customer representatives and company management.
• Conduct special investigations and produce detailed reports for Senior Management and Leadership.
• Present quality data, investigation summaries, and trends at compliance board meetings and Program Management Reviews (PMRs).
• Engage in the planning, coordination, and execution of Military and/or FAA Certification efforts.
• Lead or participate in quality-related projects and initiatives.

Requirements

• Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science, or a related technical field.
• At least four (4) years of Aerospace Quality experience.
• Experience with Quality Management Systems (QMS) related to aircraft modification and maintenance.
• Proficiency in Root Cause Analysis tools (e.g., Pareto Charts, 5 Whys, Fishbone Diagrams, PFMEAs).
• Knowledge of industry standards including ISO9001 and AS9100D.
• Strong technical writing, oral communication, and presentation skills.
• Ability to travel periodically (approximately 15%) and work occasional overtime.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Military and FAA Certification efforts.
• FAA and Quality authorizations or certifications.
• Previous leadership or management experience.
• Experience with Aviation Electrical systems.
