Specialist, Quality Engineer

Responsibilities

• Apply modern quality principles, including Lean and Six Sigma, to aerospace manufacturing operations.
• Interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and contractual requirements to ensure compliance.
• Lead or interface with the Material Review Board (MRB) for nonconforming material disposition.
• Develop, implement, and maintain quality assurance processes for high product and service standards.
• Investigate production issues, conduct root cause analysis, and manage the Corrective Action Board (CAB) process.
• Analyze manufacturing quality data to identify trends and lead continuous improvement initiatives.
• Interface with Supplier Quality Engineering and Integrated Product Teams (IPT) to mitigate program risks.
• Assess the need for First Article Inspections (FAIs) based on AS9102 or contractual requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree with 4+ years of Quality experience, OR Graduate Degree with 2+ years of Quality experience, OR 8+ years of Quality experience in lieu of a degree.
• Knowledge of Lean and Six Sigma methodologies.
• Experience with AS9102 or AS9100 standards.
• Ability to obtain a US Security Clearance.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience collaborating within a Microsoft 365 environment (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams).
• Project Management experience.
• Experience in Supplier or Customer Support.
• Regulatory and Auditing experience (AS9100) within the Aerospace and Defense industry.
• Proficiency in Statistical Analysis and Risk Management.
