Specialist Pulmonologist

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and treat acute and chronic respiratory diseases such as asthma, COPD, pneumonia, and pulmonary fibrosis
• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including medical history reviews and physical examinations
• Interpret pulmonary function tests (PFTs), chest imaging, arterial blood gases (ABGs), and bronchoscopy findings
• Perform bronchoscopic procedures and other pulmonary interventions
• Develop individualized treatment plans and manage patients requiring respiratory support, including non-invasive ventilation
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including intensivists and thoracic surgeons, to ensure optimal care
• Educate patients and families on disease management, preventive care, and lifestyle modifications
• Maintain accurate medical documentation in compliance with DHA regulations and hospital policies

Requirements

• Medical Degree (MBBS or equivalent) from a recognized institution
• Specialization in Pulmonology or Respiratory Medicine (MD, DNB, or equivalent)
• DHA License or a valid DHA Eligibility Letter
• 3–5 years of post-specialization experience as a Specialist Pulmonologist
• Proficiency in bronchoscopy and pulmonary function testing (PFTs)
• Strong clinical knowledge and diagnostic decision-making skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Valid BLS and ACLS certifications
• Fellowship or additional training in Interventional Pulmonology or Sleep Medicine
• Previous experience working in a reputable hospital or multispecialty healthcare facility
