Specialist, Project Management

Responsibilities

• Manage the material budget for assigned programs and provide accurate material forecasts.
• Coordinate efforts between the Program Office, Functional Management, and customers to ensure successful resolution of program issues.
• Work with Engineering, Planning, Procurement, and Manufacturing to ensure drawings are released and schedules are met.
• Review proposals and Statements of Work (SOW) to establish status metrics and support make-buy decisions.
• Utilize program management tools to monitor and report on budget, schedule, and other performance objectives.
• Lead or participate in monthly customer meetings to drive results for in-house and vendor repair items.
• Assess project issues and develop resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 4 years of relevant experience, OR
• Graduate Degree and minimum 2 years of relevant experience, OR
• 12 years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
• Experience with manpower planning and milestone scheduling.
• Proficiency with Project Management (PM) tools and financial management.
• Active DoD Secret clearance is required.

Preferred Qualifications

• Extensive experience with SAP and material processes.
• Proven ability to achieve operational targets and contribute to departmental goal planning.
