Specialist - Procurement

Responsibilities

• Maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors to ensure product availability and quality.
• Place orders for raw materials and purchased parts based on production requirements and MRP output.
• Monitor and track shipments, managing confirmations and urging deliveries when necessary.
• Manage inventory levels by conducting weekly stock checks to avoid overstock and minimize obsolescence risks.
• Coordinate with freight forwarders, warehouses, and logistics teams to organize transportation.
• Handle claims, settle debit/credit issues, and approve invoices for payment.
• Review requisitions, manage purchase order modifications, and maintain accurate procurement records and metrics.
• Conduct quarterly supplier reviews and manage supplier expectations regarding price, delivery, and quality.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Experience working with ERP software and managing data entry tasks.
• Strong mathematical skills, including the ability to apply basic algebra and geometry to calculate discounts, proportions, and volumes.
• Ability to read and comprehend complex instructions, correspondence, and memos.
• Effective communication skills for presenting information to customers, clients, and internal teams.
