Specialist Podiatrist

Responsibilities

• Deliver specialist podiatric assessment, diagnosis, and treatment for high-risk and diabetic patients
• Manage an autonomous caseload, prioritising patients based on clinical need
• Provide advanced interventions including wound care, offloading, and ABPI assessment
• Work collaboratively with diabetic specialist nurses, tissue viability teams, and wider MDT
• Deliver education and health promotion to patients and healthcare professionals
• Maintain accurate clinical records in line with professional and Trust standards

Requirements

• HCPC registered Podiatrist
• Degree in Podiatry
• Significant NHS experience, particularly within diabetic/high-risk foot care
• Experience in neurovascular and gait assessment
• Strong clinical reasoning and ability to manage complex caseloads
• Experience in patient education and multidisciplinary working
