Specialist, Plant Support Equipment

Responsibilities

• Ensure uninterrupted production by maintaining high availability and reliability of critical support equipment, including compressors, cooling towers, vacuum systems, and boilers.
• Create a safe operating environment by eliminating hazards and ensuring compliance with safety regulations for high-risk utility systems.
• Optimize maintenance strategies, energy efficiency, and spare parts management to reduce operating costs and extend equipment life.
• Collaborate with Production and Engineering on capacity planning and capital projects to ensure utility systems align with production schedules and future growth.
• Drive maintenance discipline through standardized SOPs, reliability practices, KPI tracking, and continuous improvement methods.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent (Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering preferred).
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in an industrial environment with a focus on electrical, mechanical, or maintenance roles.
• Minimum of 4 years of broad training in a related field acquired through college or work experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• 4 years of supervisory or leadership experience.
• Working knowledge of automated and high-speed manufacturing processes, industrial electrical systems, and automation & controls.
• Experience with maintenance planning and work order systems.
• Ability to perform arithmetic, geometric, and algebraic calculations.
• Experience negotiating with contractors for facilities and building maintenance.
