About the role
Responsibilities
- Develop, create, and implement planning concepts and design specifications for the assembly store area
- Plan complete equipment electrics considering process-related and mechanical requirements and local standards
- Represent electrical matters for assembly equipment to internal and external customers and suppliers
- Create electrical specifications and coordinate interfaces between equipment and shopfloor IT systems
- Manage electrical specifications, requirements, and technical questions with contractors and suppliers
- Prepare cost estimates, comparative analyses, and bid evaluations
- Accompany plant projects from concept through design, production, and series operation
- Coordinate stakeholder departments to implement electrical system design and optimization measures
Requirements
- Bachelor's or master's degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or a related field
- 5+ years of professional experience in automotive production
- 3+ years of experience in assembly conveyor and equipment
- 3+ years of project management experience in equipment planning
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications
- Technical knowledge in automation technology, PLCs, and control units (e.g., Siemens TIA Portal)
- Knowledge of production systems such as SCADA, MES, and Back-up/Recovery systems
- Experience with electrical designing for conveyors and semi-automatic or fully automatic stations
- Knowledge of local electrical regulations including NEMA, NFPA 79, and NEC
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of stakeholder interfaces including production, IT, and EHS departments
- Experience in equipment electric planning from concept to final handover
- Proficiency in office and web-based applications
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
