Specialist Pipeline Engineer

Responsibilities

• Lead and review FEED deliverables related to offshore pipelines, subsea flowlines, and risers
• Ensure pipeline routing, sizing, wall thickness design, and material selection meet ADNOC Offshore standards
• Verify compliance with applicable codes including ASME B31.4/B31.8, DNV-ST-N001, DNV-ST-N002, and API standards
• Review and approve EPC contractor FEED deliverables, calculations, and specifications
• Ensure integrity management is embedded in design, including corrosion protection, cathodic protection, and coatings
• Review stress analysis, fatigue analysis, and upheaval/lateral buckling studies
• Coordinate with process, subsea, structural, geotechnical, and marine engineering teams
• Support HAZID, HAZOP, and constructability reviews
• Assess installation methods such as S-lay, J-lay, and reel-lay

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Pipeline Engineering
• Minimum of 15+ years of experience in the oil and gas sector
• 5–7 years of experience specifically in offshore FEED or detailed engineering projects
• Extensive experience in oil and gas pipeline engineering (12–15+ years)
• Strong knowledge of DNV, ASME, API, and ADNOC standards
• Experience in subsea pipeline installation, WHT, and marine operations

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s degree in a relevant engineering field
• Prior experience working in Project Management Consultancy (PMC) roles
• Previous experience working on ADNOC Offshore projects
• Experience with shallow water offshore projects in the Middle East
