Specialist Physician Internal Medicine Geriatrics

Responsibilities

• Provide holistic, individual, and guideline-based geriatric care
• Coordinate interdisciplinary diagnostics and therapy with physiotherapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, nursing, and social services
• Manage treatment processes including admission planning, leading rounds, and creating discharge plans
• Promote rehabilitative approaches to support mobilization and functional recovery
• Participate in case discussions, team meetings, and continuous professional development
• Provide professional and organizational representation of the specialty in a senior physician capacity
• Participate in internal medicine standard diagnostics
• Shape and develop structures, processes, and organizational workflows

Requirements

• Specialist physician (Facharzt) for Internal Medicine with an additional qualification in Geriatrics
• Experience in caring for elderly, multimorbid patients
• Empathic, respectful, and patient-oriented approach
• Ability to work independently, responsibly, and collaboratively
