Specialist Physician in Pediatrics

Responsibilities

• Co-manage newborns in obstetrics, including acute care after difficult deliveries
• Perform clinical examinations, laboratory tests, and sonography (e.g., hip) for newborns
• Provide counseling to parents and participate in parent evenings
• Co-manage inpatient pediatric surgery patients, including joint rounds with surgeons
• Conduct clinical examinations for non-surgical incidental findings and pain rounds
• Contribute to the further development of the department and neonatal standards

Requirements

• Specialist physician (Facharzt) in Pediatrics or near completion of specialist training
• Experience in neonatology
• Patient-oriented, independent, and responsible work style
• Ability to work effectively in interdisciplinary and interprofessional teams
• Strong communication skills for interacting with patients and staff
