As a university hospital unit, we conduct research, education, and development in collaboration with the Karolinska Institutet. Our gastroenterology unit specializes in the investigation and treatment of inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), liver diseases, celiac disease, and functional gastrointestinal disorders.

Responsibilities

• Meet patients with needs for gastroenterological specialist expertise during new and follow-up visits
• Work with a wide spectrum of gastroenterological conditions, including IBD, liver disease, and functional gastrointestinal issues
• Perform endoscopic procedures, with opportunities for continued professional development
• Combine clinical work with development, quality work, and research if desired
• Potential for medical leadership responsibilities

Requirements

• Licensed physician with specialist competence in gastroenterology and hepatology
• Broad gastroenterological experience
• Ability to independently perform endoscopic examinations
• Professionalism, trust, and hope in alignment with Ersta's values

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in taking significant medical responsibility or previous leadership roles
• Experience and interest in research and education
