Specialist Physician for Special Pain Therapy

Responsibilities

• Perform pain medical anamnesis, examination, and findings for patients with chronic pain syndromes
• Treat patients independently using multimodal pain therapy concepts (medicinal, interventional, non-medicinal, and complementary)
• Manage indication, adjustment, and follow-up of pain therapeutic measures according to guidelines
• Collaborate closely with psychotherapy, physiotherapy, nursing, and other medical disciplines
• Participate in interdisciplinary case discussions, pain conferences, and continuing education
• Contribute to the continuous development of pain therapeutic concepts and processes

Requirements

• Completed specialist medical training (e.g., Anesthesiology, General Medicine, Neurology, Orthopedics, or Internal Medicine)
• Ideally already holds the additional qualification in Special Pain Therapy or interest in acquiring it
• Experience in treating chronic pain syndromes or strong interest in pain medicine
• Proficiency in pain therapeutic and medicinal treatment methods
• Interest in biopsychosocial and multimodal treatment concepts
• Ability to work in a structured, independent, and responsible manner
• High level of empathy and communication skills
