Specialist, Pharma Tech

Responsibilities

• Act as the technical lead for the process development, scale-up, and commercialization of new pharmaceutical products.
• Lead the conceptual design and technical transfer of new compounding master formulas from R&D to full commercial scale.
• Manage improvement projects, including providing detailed project plans, timelines, and leading non-conformance investigations.
• Prepare and review technical documentation, including study protocols, reports, SOPs, validation, and equipment qualification documents.
• Initiate and manage change requests related to product introductions, SAP setup, master formula revisions, and process improvements.
• Investigate manufacturing processes, interpret analytical testing results, and implement Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA).
• Assist in the identification and sourcing of new equipment by creating user specifications and design reviews.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Pharmacy, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 7 years of related technical experience in formulation development, quality, or a compounding environment.
• Strong knowledge of current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP).
• Proficiency with statistical software and computer applications for documentation (SOPs and technical reports).
• Proven project management skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Experience with semi-solid dosage forms is preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree or higher in a relevant scientific or engineering field.
• Previous experience in a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment with direct exposure to c-GMP standards.
