Specialist, Orthopedic Surgery

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and manage orthopedic and musculoskeletal conditions in outpatient and inpatient settings
• Assess, stabilize, and treat acute orthopedic trauma cases, including fractures
• Perform orthopedic surgical procedures within specialty privileges
• Provide timely consultation for emergency and trauma-related referrals
• Participate in the hospital’s in-house on-call schedule
• Conduct pre-operative assessments and post-operative follow-up care
• Collaborate with Emergency Medicine, ICU, Radiology, Anesthesia, and Rehabilitation teams
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation in accordance with hospital policies
• Support quality improvement and clinical governance initiatives

Requirements

• Medical degree (MBBS or equivalent) from an accredited institution
• Completion of a recognized Orthopedic Surgery Residency Program
• Relevant Specialist qualification recognized by DOH/DHA/MOH
• Valid DOH license or eligibility for licensure in Abu Dhabi
• Proven experience in Orthopedic Trauma Surgery
• Experience in both inpatient and outpatient orthopedic services
• Willingness to participate in an in-house on-call rotation
• Excellent clinical, communication, and teamwork skills
