Specialist of Campus Advocacy, Prevention, and Student Support

Responsibilities

• Lead the university’s prevention, education, response, and reporting regarding sexual misconduct, interpersonal violence, and stalking.
• Manage and adjust the Campus Advocacy, Prevention, and Education (CAPE) Project Strategic Plan.
• Hire, manage, and train a peer educator team to assist in training on preventing interpersonal violence.
• Gather and develop data collection for university use, including training outcomes, attendance, and assessment data.
• Oversee and coordinate meetings for the coordinated community response team and its subcommittees.
• Assist students in navigating university resources by providing support and referrals for academic, personal, and wellness concerns.
• Support the division’s programmatic efforts through outreach and education to promote community well-being and safety.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree.
• One (1) year of experience in program development, implementation, and evaluation of program effectiveness and strategies.
• Eligibility to become and maintain designation as a Designated School Official (DSO) with the U.S. Department of Homeland Security.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s degree in higher education, counseling, counselor education, psychology, social work, public health, or a related field.
