Specialist, Manufacturing Engineering (Industrial Engineer)

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Siemens Plant Simulation models to optimize complex manufacturing flows
• Build logic for product routing, resource utilization, material handling, and process dependencies
• Analyze simulation results to identify bottlenecks, capacity limitations, and labor constraints
• Recommend mitigation actions including staffing changes, equipment reallocation, and capital investments
• Perform what-if and trade study analyses to support production rate changes and long-range capacity planning
• Validate model performance using production data and collaborate with operations and engineering teams

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree with 4+ years of relevant experience, OR
• Graduate Degree with 2+ years of relevant experience, OR
• 8+ years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree
• Demonstrated expertise in Siemens Plant Simulation
• Ability to obtain a government security clearance

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in aerospace, defense, propulsion, or other regulated manufacturing environments
• Familiarity with rocket motor manufacturing or complex production systems
• Knowledge of capacity analysis, production scheduling, and continuous improvement methods
• Proficiency with data analysis tools such as Excel, SQL, or Python
• Strong background in constraint identification and bottleneck mitigation planning
