Specialist IS Business Systems Analyst

Responsibilities

• Define and specify features for R&D Data Catalyst technology products, focusing on data management and knowledge management tools.
• Perform data analysis and profiling to surface values in various data sources and propose unification logic.
• Create and maintain the feature backlog in Jira, documenting detailed specifications based on data analysis.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and document product requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
• Work closely with business teams, Scrum Masters, and development teams to plan and execute sprints.
• Develop user guides, release notes, and robust product documentation to ensure efficient coordination across time zones.
• Define, monitor, and manage service level agreements (SLAs) to ensure performance and availability.
• Analyze product performance data, customer behavior, and market trends to inform product decisions.
• Create and maintain reports and dashboards using PowerBI to provide insights into user engagement and key metrics.

Requirements

• Master's or Bachelor's degree with 8-12 years of experience in Product Owner, Platform Owner, or Service Owner roles.
• Exceptional data analysis and data profiling skills.
• Advanced SQL query development skills.
• Hands-on experience using PowerBI, including building basic models and reports.
• Strong knowledge of Agile methodologies and product management principles using Jira and Confluence.
• Extensive experience with the development of data-management and visibility products (e.g., data warehouses, MDM, or data visualization).
• Strong knowledge of IT service management (ITSM) principles and methodologies.
• Proven ability to mentor and develop product analysts and data profilers.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with human healthcare data or clinical trial data management.
• Familiarity with laboratory testing, patient data, HL7, or FHIR.
• Experience using LLM and AI capabilities for data curation and metadata creation.
• SAFe Agile Practitioner (6.0) certification.
