Specialist, Internal Audit

Responsibilities

• Conduct financial, operational, and compliance assurance audits across all business areas
• Perform walkthroughs of business processes to evaluate operational practices and assess design effectiveness
• Independently plan and execute audits in accordance with professional auditing standards
• Prepare audit work programs, including sampling methodologies and specific audit steps
• Identify and analyze key controls, processes, and systems to determine effectiveness
• Prepare formal written work papers and reports documenting audit work and conclusions
• Communicate audit status and results to internal stakeholders, focusing on deficiencies and corrective actions
• Assist in developing digital tools and automations to enhance audit procedures
• Travel up to 20%, including potential international locations

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree and minimum 4 years of prior relevant experience
• OR Graduate Degree and minimum 2 years of prior related experience
• OR 8 years of prior related experience in lieu of a degree
• Ability to travel up to 20%

Preferred Qualifications

• Working knowledge of GAAP, GAAS, and IIA standards
• Experience in a public audit firm or industry internal audit role
• Knowledge of FAR, DFARS, and CAS
• Relevant professional certification (CPA, CIA, or CISA)
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance
