Specialist Intensive and Critical Care

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive care for critically ill patients in the ICU, managing complex cases such as sepsis, multi-organ failure, and respiratory failure
• Perform and interpret advanced hemodynamic monitoring and ventilatory support
• Manage invasive procedures including central venous catheterization, arterial lines, and intubation
• Lead resuscitation efforts and emergency critical care interventions
• Collaborate with anesthesiology, emergency medicine, surgery, and internal medicine teams
• Develop and implement individualized critical care treatment plans
• Ensure adherence to ICU protocols, infection control, and patient safety standards
• Supervise junior doctors, residents, and ICU nursing staff
• Contribute to quality improvement, audits, and ICU clinical governance

Requirements

• Medical degree (MBBS or equivalent) from a recognized institution
• Board Certification or equivalent specialization in Intensive Care / Critical Care Medicine
• Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in an ICU or critical care setting
• Strong proficiency in advanced airway management and life-support procedures
• Extensive experience with ventilator management and hemodynamic monitoring
• Eligibility for UAE medical licensing (MOHAP)
