About the role

Responsibilities

  • Act as the first point of contact for employees, providing high-level customer service via phone and email
  • Resolve tier 1 and 2 technical requests involving hardware, software, network, and telecommunications systems
  • Manage and assign tasks using a ticketing system and maintain detailed documentation
  • Manage IT assets using asset management software and conduct quarterly counts for compliance
  • Perform physical installation and decommissioning of network, server, and desktop components
  • Coordinate with vendors for pricing, maintenance, and warranty information for Data Center equipment
  • Provide training to team members on new systems to improve efficiency and reduce escalations

Requirements

  • College Diploma minimum
  • 5+ years of related IT technical support experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office for support, reporting, and documentation
  • Strong troubleshooting skills for Windows 11, Linux, and Microsoft Active Directory
  • Solid understanding of Internet Protocol, including subnetting and port management
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills with a professional demeanor

Preferred Qualifications

  • Relevant IT certifications
  • Experience with PowerShell scripting and SCCM
  • Experience with VOIP systems (Cisco/Samsung) and video conferencing support (Polycom/Cisco)
  • Experience with physical installation of servers and network equipment
